As far as my body, sometimes I am really bad at self care. Resting. Stretching after workouts. Taking it easy. I am not good at that doing that for myself. I know how important these things are but I am sad to call myself a hypocrite. I do yoga. But I often do power yoga. Not deep stretch or restorative yoga. Needless to say. I do not follow my own advice well. That is, until my body demands it.
This has been a week where my body has demanded some self care. Sore gluteus medius that won't go away. So when I need some love for my body and muscles, this is my favorite yoga routine. Five Parks Yoga's Deep stretch for athletes. It is a 30 minute routine that is based on yin yoga. In Yin Yoga you hold poses for 3 minutes. There are no standing poses. It is just simple deep stretches to tell your body thank you for working so hard for me. After my body was so happy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
