Chips and Guac

I love guacamole. It is so delicious. So you better believe when avocados go on sale for 2 or 3/$1 at Sprout's Market (yes that really happens) I buy tons of them. I make avocado dip/salsa, tomatillo and avocado dressing, avocado and balsamic salad, eat them plain, and of course, I make guacamole.

I love many things about guacamole. Mostly that it is delicious and it is so easy and quick to make. So if I am in need of a quick snack or to add a little zest to a meal. I take two minutes and whip some up. If I am feeling like a "go getter" I'll make chips too. (If I don't have any in my pantry...)

So like the guac and chips. I am going to keep this post short, sweet, and delicious.

Ingredients

Avocados (at least 2 but the more, the merrier)

Salt, to taste

Chili Powder, to taste

Garlic Powder, to taste

Cherry Tomatoes, cut in half (optional, not pictured)

8+ Corn Tortillas, cut in wedges

Olive Oil

Salt

Directions

-CHIPS-

1. Turn oven onto High Broil

2. Cut (or tear. I tear) tortillas and place on baking sheet in rows. Brush with a little bit of oil and sprinkle with salt.

3. Broil 3 minutes. Remove from oven, flip each chip, and broil 3 minutes.

*start with 2 minutes. Every broiler is different. At my mom's house I do 2 minutes, at my house I do 2.5 or 3. Find the time that works for you*

4. ENJOY

-GUAC-

1. Half, seed, and scoop out flesh of avocados into a bowl and smash with tines of a fork.

2. Add salt, chili powder, and garlic to taste. Add tomatoes if using (really tasty)

3. ENJOY (with chips)
